Just what I expected .. had to sharpen up the blade out of the packaging, rounded off the top on the front half so you can push the blade with your hand, and flattened the top part of the blade at the back half for scraping. Slightly re shaped the handle to fit me perfectly. How can you go wrong - good machete

Excellent tool for manual bush clearing

Good solid and simple classic designed tool which works well on clearing grasses and light bush (eg T-tree). Needs a bit of a sharpen out of the box. And if you like you can sand and wax the wooden handle to customise the grip and make it look real old school. At the price it's great value. Paired mine with a Cold Steel 18 inch latin machete sheath which quickly solved the carry system at a reasonable price. (Cold Steel latin machete also a great tool BTW.)
