To be honest, I bought this more to add to my knife display, rather than to actually use it "in the wild". The build quality seems good, and I have no complaints in that regard. The knife was quite sharp out of the box, but I will probably do some further sharpening to get that razor type edge that I like. Overall, very happy with the knife.

Not bad, not great

This is a big knife and I'm sure it will do the job, although I've not field tested it yet. The leather edges of the sheath were not burnished and so it was already damaged on one corner when received. The knife was placed into the sheath and then into the box making the overall length too long for the box and bending up the end of the sheath and again, showing the lack of burnishing and glue along the leather edge at the tip. The knife came with a small ding in the sharp edge and a poor job at polishing the handle after cleaning up the glue around the base. Front heavy but not necessarily a bad thing depending on your task. You get what you pay for and although not great it's not bad and will work well I'm sure.

"That's not a knife, this is a knife." That's how it feels to draw this baby out of its engraved leather sheath. I love it. It's heavy and it's not the most perfect looking finely detailed knife but it's a bloody beauty to add to your collection. It's well made and sharp. I recommend anyone looking for an affordable Bowie knife to use or add to a collection to get this. Love it.

Knife is very sturdy very good quality would reccomend sharpening straight out of the box as it is not very sharp.
