Mtech Sub-Hilt Bowie
15 October 2014This knife is great especially for the price. The only reason that it loses a star is because of the handle... the handle on this is really comfortable to hold and use but it is when you take a closer look at it that the handle part of the blade is not flush with the stained black wood and there is some gapes between the two piece of wood between the hand guard and the hilt which does not really make a massive difference at all but it just does nat make it look as nice. although the rest or the knife is pretty much flawless the blade is pretty sharp out of the box but needs a bit of sharpening to get it the way I like it but one of my favourite things about this knife its the tip, I am not joking it is sharper than a needle and with the weight of the knife behind it it is ridiculously sharp. Another great thing about this knife is the weight it is the perfect weight, that it does not feel too heavy or too light it is probably a bit heavier that most knifes of its size but on this it is amazing. the sub hilt on this knife is also a pretty good size because on some hilt knifes the hilt is low enough to fit 2 fingers in it but this was not the case with this one, my fingers are not massive i would probably call them average and my finger fits well in it but without to much excess room but it would be fine for people with big fingers as well. the blade thickness is 1/8" which is a similar thickness to most bowies. this knife would be great for combat and for survival. I would recommend this knife to anyone especially at $35 its a bargain. this would of been 5 starts if it were not for the bad handle.
